Bouncer alternative
Same verdicts, plus the transcript that produced them.
What Bouncer is
European email verification with a strong privacy and GDPR posture, sold per verification.
Compliance positioning and EU data residency, which matters if your legal team asks where the list is processed.
Pick Bouncer when: You need a processor agreement and EU residency, and a managed service is the easier answer for your compliance review.
You would rather not have a processor at all. Self-hosted means the list never leaves, which is a stronger position than residency.
Side by side
| Bouncer | Verdict | |
|---|---|---|
| Data residency | EU processing | No processing. It stays with you |
| Evidence | Label | Raw SMTP reply |
| Source code | Closed | MIT |
| Pricing | Per address | Free self-hosted |
Bouncer charges per verification with volume tiers. Free and MIT, or $59/mo hosted.
The honest summary
Verdict has no contact database and does not send campaigns. It opens an SMTP connection to the receiving server, asks whether the mailbox exists, and reports what the server said. When the server refuses to answer, or the domain accepts every address, it says so instead of guessing. That is the whole product, it is MIT licensed, and it runs on your own machine so the list never goes anywhere.
Try it on a real list
Paste up to 500 addresses. Free, no signup, nothing stored. The fairest test is your last campaign's bounce list, since you already know which ones failed.
