smtp bounce code
550 5.2.1Mailbox disabled
what to do
Suppress the address
The mailbox exists but has been switched off. In practice the address is unusable and should be suppressed.
What the server is telling you
The account is suspended, disabled or archived. The address resolves, but nothing will be delivered to it and nobody is reading it.
Next steps
- →Suppress. A disabled mailbox is rarely re-enabled.
- →Often means the person left. Look for their replacement instead.
Commonly returned by: Exchange, Zimbra, hosted providers

Paste a list and see which addresses sit on domains that accept no mail, which are one character from a real inbox, and which are on catch-all domains where nothing can tell you anything. Free, no signup, nothing stored.
